The Di Lupo system for the Bentley Cotton machine: control panel, air motors, electronic variable stroke, 5 kW inverter motor and air brake.
The Bentley is one of the most widespread Cotton machines, but it is not without flaws. It has many mechanical parts that wear over time: play builds up on the chains and shafts of the variable stroke, worm screws can slip and break needles, and the motor, brake and electrical system age, with components that are now hard to find.
To solve most of these problems after years of service, we offer a complete rebuild of the system:

Driven by the panel PLC, it operates most of the machine's functions through valves.
New electrical panel with PLC and inverter, wired and tested in our workshop.
Our own air motors drive the machine movements: carriage, punches and neckline.
The old chain blocks are replaced by an electric motor that sets the variable stroke position needle by needle.
New 5 kW inverter-driven motor.
The machine is slowed down by the inverter; the air brake holds it once the motor has stopped and is de-energised.
